WHAT ARE DROPS ?

SO WHAT DOES #DropsForAll MEAN ?

As you are probably aware, WarGaming have been giving Drops to a number of "select" World of Tanks streamers (who are NOT Community Contributors) but not everyone. This means that many viewers of small streams like ours have been going to these "select" streamer's channels instead, so they can get the Drops.

Some small streamers have only been losing a few of their viewers but some have lost almost ALL of their viewers. Many small streamers are pretty angry and upset that their communities are being ripped apart by WarGaming. Some streamers have actually given up on streaming World of Tanks altogether because of this.

By doing this, WarGaming are effectively controlling who streams World of Tanks and who people are watching. We feel that this is VERY unfair to small streamers who have worked very hard to build their channels up.

WHAT IS OUR AIM ?

A couple of years ago,when WG first tried out Drops on Twitch, they gave the Drops to ANYONE AT ALL who was streaming World of Tanks. This is a totally automatic thing for Twitch and everyone thought it was great. We want WarGaming to go back to doing this, so ALL streamers benefit. Remember, we are ALL effectively advertising World of Tanks for them and getting nothing or very little for it.

ISN'T IT JUST THAT YOU'RE JEALOUS OF LARGER STREAMERS ?

No. Many small streamers were happy with the number of viewers they had and the communities they had built, but what WarGaming are doing at the moment is actively DESTROYING small streamer's channels.

HOW CAN I HELP DRAW ATTENTION TO THIS ?

First of all, Please put #DropsForAll into your stream title to show your support, not just for one stream but for as long as you can.

You could also make a command in your bot, to explain what it's about. Feel free to copy and paste the following if you like:

/announce #DropsForAll means that we want EVERYONE who is a WoT streamer to get Drops and not just the WarGaming "Chosen Few". Drops are KILLING small streams and that is not a good thing for the community as a whole. Feel free to send in a ticket to say so, or contact a WG Employee about it.
